Meet Our Team
Kobe Deng & Sandy Deng – Co-Founders
HUSH began as Kobe's vision to create professional-quality grooming tools that were accessible to students like himself. While exploring hairstyling, Kobe realized most tools were loud, intimidating, and expensive, creating barriers for those just starting out. Determined to close that gap, he set out to design a brand that balanced high performance with real affordability.
When the first HUSH products arrived, customer testimonials revealed something unexpected: the clippers and trimmers were exceptionally quiet. The clippers measure just 48 decibels, and the trimmers measure just 46 decibels . That discovery transformed the mission, evolving HUSH from a focus on affordability to a commitment to refined, controlled power that respects both the user and the space around them.
Sandy supports Kobe’s vision and adds critical technical and human-centered dimension to the brand. With a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, she applies systems design, precision manufacturing, and ergonomic insight to each product. Her experience in early childhood education, working alongside ABA therapists and Registered Behavior Technicians, also informs the design process, ensuring HUSH tools are thoughtfully engineered for sensory-sensitive users.
Together, Kobe and Sandy built HUSH around the belief that true performance is about more than power: it is about control, comfort, and intentionality.
HUSH x Sensory Inclusivity
Krystal Cotto – Sensory Inclusivity Brand Ambassador
Krystal is a sensory-inclusive hairstylist, educator, and industry advocate redefining what accessibility looks like in the barbering and beauty space. As the founder of Shear Patience in Orlando, Florida, she has built more than a salon experience. She has created a specialized model of care that blends behavioral science with professional barbering and cosmetology, delivering meaningful and successful grooming experiences for individuals with sensory needs and the families who support them.
With over 20 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and a background as a Registered Behavior Technician, Krystal brings a rare clinical perspective into her work behind the chair. Her understanding of regulation, communication, desensitization, and individualized support allows her to approach each client with intention rather than assumption. After completing her cosmetology training at Paul Mitchell The School Orlando, she recognized a significant gap in the industry. Families were searching for professionals who understood both hair and sensory processing, yet few spaces were equipped to meet those needs. Driven by purpose rather than convenience, Krystal founded Shear Patience to bridge that gap and elevate haircutting as an essential daily living skill delivered with compassion, structure, and respect.
Through her private salon suite and mobile services, Krystal designs environments that reduce overwhelm and build trust from the first interaction. Every appointment is guided by preparation, patience, and adaptability. Her work empowers clients to gain confidence, supports caregivers through understanding, and demonstrates to industry professionals what inclusive grooming looks like in practice. Quiet, high-performance tools are central to that experience, helping transform what can be an anxious moment into one defined by calm and success.
As HUSH’s Sensory Inclusivity Brand Ambassador, Krystal extends her mission beyond the chair. She is committed to educating barbers and stylists, equipping them with practical strategies and foundational knowledge to confidently serve sensory-sensitive clients. Through leadership, advocacy, and example, she continues to champion a future where sensory-friendly haircuts are not viewed as a specialty, but embraced as an industry standard.
Khristian Santana – Barber Industry Brand Ambassador & Videographer
Khristian is a barber by foundation and a builder by nature. What began as a craft quickly evolved into a calling rooted in discipline, confidence, and vision. Behind the chair, he mastered more than technical skill. He learned how to turn a simple service into a complete experience, understanding early on that barbering is as much about presence and professionalism as it is about precision.
As his career progressed, Khristian recognized that long-term freedom comes from ownership, not just output. He shifted his mindset from worker to operator, building systems, shaping culture, and leading with intention. Today, he owns and operates Supremacy Barbershop in Cleveland with a non-negotiable standard for professionalism, clean culture, and consistent results. His focus extends beyond appointments. He oversees branding, marketing, photography, videography, and storytelling, transforming a barbershop into a recognizable and respected brand.
As HUSH’s Brand Ambassador and Videographer, Khristian brings that same builder mentality to the partnership. He believes collaboration only happens when standards align. Precision, performance, and presentation are not optional. They are foundational. Through visual storytelling and strategic branding, he helps communicate a shared vision for where the barber industry is headed: elevated, intentional, and built to last.
